Embedded Hardware Engineer

Yatri Motorcycles | Kathmandu

August 2024 - Present

At Yatri Motorcycles, working as an Embedded Hardware Engineer goes far beyond designing schematics and routing complex PCBs; it is about bringing electronics out of the screen and into the physical world. The process starts with assembling a freshly manufactured board and writing the foundational bare-metal code to wake it up, but the real excitement comes from watching that custom hardware seamlessly interact with the high-power components of an electric vehicle. Because sensitive electronics are placed inside such a dynamic and electrically noisy environment, a major part of the work involves rigorous, hands-on debugging to solve real-world physics problems. Tracking down stubborn electromagnetic interference (EMI), resolving signal integrity issues, and ensuring stable power delivery are all essential steps to guarantee the final hardware is robust, safe, and ready to perform on the road.

GNC Engineer

Voyager Mayeen

November 2023 - March 2024

Serving as a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer at Voyager Mayeen involved directly developing the critical flight systems for the Mayeen-1 project. The work went far beyond standard theory, requiring hands-on 6DOF (six degrees of freedom) rocket modeling to accurately simulate and predict complex physical movements. A major focus of the role was working closely with the hardware, specifically handling GNC sensors, executing sensor fusion, and managing system integration to make sense of real-world data.

Intern

National Innovation Center (EV Conversion Project) | Kathmandu

September 2024 - November 2023

During the internship with the Electric Vehicle (EV) Team at the National Innovation Centre (NIC), the core focus was bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and practical, hands-on engineering. Working directly with Battery Management Systems (BMS), power electronics, and PID control algorithms provided a foundational understanding of the critical components that keep electric vehicles running safely and efficiently. Beyond just technical learning, the role demanded adaptability and active problem-solving to overcome the day-to-day challenges of EV development. A significant part of the routine also involved maintaining detailed documentation and adhering to strict industry standards, ensuring that every hardware integration was reliable, well-understood, and systematically recorded for the team's ongoing success.
