Project Overview

This ongoing project focuses on the design and development of a custom Single-Board Computer (SBC) built around the powerful STMicroelectronics STM32MP2 microprocessor. The objective is to create a robust, high-performance platform tailored for demanding industrial automation, control, and edge computing applications.

Technical Details

The core of the board is the STM32MP2, a dual-core Arm Cortex-A35 processor combined with a Cortex-M33 real-time core, offering a unique blend of application processing and real-time control. The design involves a multi-layered PCB with controlled impedance for high-speed interfaces like Gigabit Ethernet and DDR memory routing. A key challenge is ensuring robust power management and thermal dissipation suitable for harsh industrial environments. As an ongoing project, the focus is currently on finalizing the hardware design and preparing for initial prototype manufacturing.
